Set up time types

Published: 2026-07-12 - Updated: 2026-07-13 - 9 min read - InkPlay Team

Create the time and pricing labels staff use when selling playtime, packages, extensions, and session durations.

How should staff choose the correct time or price option?

The branch has clear time types that match the price board, PC types, and cashier workflow.

Before you start

  • Set up PC types first if pricing differs by station group.
  • Prepare the venue price list or launch pricing.
  • Use an account allowed to manage type settings.

Start from the price list

Time types should reflect how the venue actually sells playtime. If the price list is unclear, staff will be uncertain during live sessions.

  • Create simple names such as 30 minutes, 1 hour, VIP hour, or promo hour.
  • Match durations and prices to the public price board.
  • Avoid creating options that staff are not allowed to sell.

Fit time types to packages

Packages and manual durations should be easy to select. Staff should not calculate common playtime manually during busy hours.

  • Create common packages before launch.
  • Keep special offers clearly named.
  • Review whether package names still make sense after promotions end.

Train staff on selection

A good time type setup still needs staff practice. Run test sessions and ask staff which option they would choose for common customer requests.

  • Test walk-in, member, and extension scenarios.
  • Explain when manual time is allowed.
  • Review mistakes after the first few shifts.

Verify it worked

  • Staff can choose the right time option for normal customer requests.
  • Session end times match the selected duration.
  • Prices and packages match the venue price list.

Troubleshooting

Staff keep choosing the wrong time option.

Rename options around customer language and remove outdated or duplicate choices.

A promotion option remains after the campaign ends.

Deactivate or rename limited-time options when the campaign is no longer valid.
