Pair TV displays

Pair venue TVs or console screens with InkPlay so staff can show station status, timing, queue context, and approved promotion surfaces.

How do I connect a branch display to InkPlay?

Staff can pair a TV display, confirm the correct branch surface, and use the display without exposing staff-only pages.

Before you start

  • The display device can open the InkPlay display page or browser surface.
  • The Controller is available to approve or pair the display.
  • Staff know which TV or console area the display belongs to.

Open the display surface

Start from the screen that will stay visible to customers. The display should be positioned where staff can confirm it before pairing.

  • Open the InkPlay display page on the target TV or browser device.
  • Keep the pairing code visible until staff complete pairing.
  • Confirm the display is on the correct branch network or browser context.

Approve the pairing

Pairing connects the physical screen with the branch display role. Choose the correct destination before customers see it.

  • Approve the display from the Controller or setup page.
  • Give it a name staff can recognize, such as front TV or console wall.
  • Assign the correct display role or station area.

Test what customers see

After pairing, test the display from the customer side. The screen should show only approved information.

  • Confirm status, timer, or promotion content is readable at viewing distance.
  • Check that staff controls are not visible.
  • Restart the browser or display device once if the screen does not update.

Verify it worked

  • The display appears as paired in the Controller.
  • The screen shows the intended branch or console display content.
  • No staff-only controls are visible on the customer-facing screen.

Troubleshooting

The pairing code is not accepted.

Refresh the display page, confirm the branch, and use the current code before trying again.

The display shows the wrong station or area.

Rename or reassign the display from the Controller and confirm it on the physical screen.
