Set up Agent PCs
Prepare player PCs with the InkPlay Agent shell, game library, session status, wallet visibility, support actions, and venue-safe promotions.
Each player PC shows the right branch experience while staff keep operational control from the Controller.
Before you start
- Install and activate the Controller.
- Make sure the player PC is on the branch network.
- Prepare station labels and PC types before approving devices.
Install and identify each PC
Agent setup should make station identity obvious. Staff need to know which physical PC matches each device shown in Controller.
- Install Agent on test PCs before copying the setup to the whole floor.
- Name devices using the same labels staff use in the venue.
- Confirm each device reports online and appears in the expected group.
Prepare the game library
The game library turns a PC into a player-facing surface, so use clear cards, launch paths, and category choices.
- Add the first games and launch shortcuts staff are comfortable supporting.
- Check the game art, category names, and launch behavior on a real Agent PC.
- Keep shared library paths consistent if games are stored centrally.
Test the player screen
The Agent screen should show useful player context without exposing staff controls.
- Confirm session time, player name, wallet balance, and points appear clearly.
- Test support and store request flows before enabling them broadly.
- Review campaign or promotion surfaces for venue-safe display.
Roll out to the floor
After a test PC works, roll out in groups so staff can catch naming, network, or launch issues before customers depend on every station.
- Install by area or row rather than all at once.
- Verify online state after each group.
- Run a short test session on at least one PC in each group.
Verify it worked
- The Agent launches on the test PC.
- The Controller shows the PC online and approved.
- A test session changes the player-facing state on the Agent PC.
- Game shortcuts and support actions behave as expected.
Troubleshooting
Agent opens but does not connect to the branch.
Check the branch network, Controller service availability, and whether the Agent is pointed at the correct local host.
Game shortcuts fail on player PCs.
Verify local or shared game paths and review the game library manual before copying the setup to more PCs.
