Use display mode and customer screens

Choose what customer-facing screens show for console stations, venue status, brand visuals, queues, and promotion content.

What should a public display show during normal operation?

The venue can run readable customer screens that support operations without turning the TV into a staff dashboard.

Before you start

  • At least one display is paired.
  • Staff know the display purpose and viewing location.
  • Promotional content has been approved before public display.

Choose the display mode

Display mode should match the screen location. A console-area TV needs different information from a front desk promo screen.

  • Use station or console status where customers need timing context.
  • Use promotion or brand mode where the screen is mainly for attention.
  • Avoid showing operational details that only staff should see.

Check readability

A public display is useful only if customers can read it from where they stand or sit.

  • Check text size from normal viewing distance.
  • Keep contrast high and avoid cluttered content.
  • Test the screen on the actual TV, not only on a laptop.

Use screens during the day

Display mode should support staff during live operation and events.

  • Check paired displays during opening routine.
  • Confirm event or offer content before busy periods.
  • Remove outdated promotion content after it ends.

Verify it worked

  • The display mode matches the physical location.
  • Customers can read the screen from normal distance.
  • Old or staff-only content is not visible.

Troubleshooting

The TV is paired but does not update.

Refresh the display browser, check branch connectivity, and confirm the Controller service is available.

Customers cannot read the screen.

Change the mode or content density and test again on the actual TV.
