InkPlay Agent evidence

Install, manage, update, and troubleshoot player PCs with facts.

InkPlay Agent is the Windows player-PC component that connects each approved station to the branch Local Node, enforces the current session state, and presents the player shell through a visible companion process. These pages document the current setup and maintenance boundaries without promising universal compatibility or zero-touch operation.

Published operator evidence

Four answers for the full Agent PC lifecycle.

Agent architecture in plain language

One product name, two Windows processes, one branch connection.

The background service keeps branch state and commands moving. The interactive companion owns player-visible windows in the signed-in Windows session. Both depend on a reachable Local Node and an approved device identity.

  1. 01

    Windows service

Registers the PC, maintains approval and heartbeat state, polls commands, synchronizes sessions and security policy, and persists Agent state.

  2. 02

    Interactive companion and shell

Runs in the signed-in Windows session so InkPlay can present the player login, lock screen, overlay, games, and update state.

  3. 03

    Branch Local Node

Provides the branch-local device, session, command, game, diagnostics, and update path that approved Agent PCs use over the venue LAN.

Name the update you mean.

Agent software releases, venue game-update jobs, Arcade catalog sync, and ordinary game-card edits are different workflows with different evidence.
